Library Services
An essential resource that supports the overall curriculum of the college, Library Services, which includes the Strine Library, offers a place to learn, to study, and to collaborate, as well as providing print and online resources for both students and faculty.
Library Objectives
The Strine Library provides a collection of materials that represent varied fields of interest geared to both students and staff.
Library goals:
- To curate, organize, preserve, and provide easy access to materials essential to meet the academic and trade needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the college.
- To provide adequate and comfortable facilities that will encourage the use of library materials and maintain an atmosphere conducive to independent study and research.
Search the Catalogs
The Strine Library houses nonfiction, fiction, reference, periodical, and newspaper collections that support trade education, general education, recreational reading, and knowledge of current events.
All students receive a Delaware County Library System library card. This card provides access to all public county libraries and online resources through the county and state library systems. Students have access to the following resources:
- full-text scholarly content for major college courses designed specifically for academic institutions and college-level students.
- over 3,000 photos/images/sound bites/graphics that include audio and visual snapshots of breaking news events, today's hot topics, great moments in news, sports and entertainment, celebrity portraits, and 20 million royalty-free stock images.
- appropriate content from magazines, journals, newspapers, reference books, and multi-media covering a wide range of subjects, from science, history, and literature to political science, sports, and environmental studies.
