Campus SkillsUSA Competition Held
SkillsUSA competitions were held in the Masonry and Carpentry Shops recently. All senior and junior masons competed because the project counts as their final exam. Six carpentry students competed.
Brandon Gain 1W4 came in first in masonry and Bill Davis 1W5 came in first in carpentry. Both will compete in the SkillsUSA district competitions this winter. All first-place winners at districts go to state competitions in Hershey in April and state first-place winners go to nationals in Kansas City in June.
Tague Lumber of Media donated the lumber used in the carpentry competition. Dave Cericola, Tague’s general manager, stopped by to watch the carpenters hard at work.
