
Alumni Assoc. Holds Academic Achievement Awards Dinner
The Alumni Association honored eight members of the Class of 1W5 for outstanding academic achievement at the 19th Annual Student Academic Achievement Awards Dinner at the Towne House Restaurant recently.
The students honored were: Jacob Dellipriscoli and Patrick Ryan, construction technology-carpentry; Matthew Roy and John Varnis, horticulture, landscaping, and turf management; Joseph Goodwin and Dylan Weston, machine tool technology; and Logan Feterhoff and Danell Roberson, power plant technology.
Stacy Starr 6W8, Alumni Association second vice president, was master of ceremonies and was joined by Bob Abbot 8W1, Alumni Association first vice president, in handing out the awards.
The keynote speaker was Robyn Young, the local historian who has obtained 10 Pennsylvania historical markers, including one for Williamson last spring.
President Michael Rounds also offered the young men words of praise and encouragement.
The Artisans, under the leadership of Russ Harvey 5W0, drafting instructor, performed several musical selections and lead the group in the alma mater.
Rev. Mark Specht 7W7, chaplain, gave the invocation and benediction.
