Two Seniors Spend Spring Break Painting A Mural In DE

Eric Gardner and Emanuel Baxter, paint and coatings technology seniors, spent their spring break painting a mural at the Parkway Academy-North in Wilmington, Del., a school that offers a second chance to high school and middle school students to get their lives back on track. Eric designed the mural, which presents the Wilmington skyline in black and white and the portraits of several inspirational people with a red rose in the center. It will also include the lyrics to the song “A Rose Grew From Concrete.” The rose represents the students, with hope to flourish colorfully.
