Power Plant’s New Steam Turbine Arrives

Williamson’s new 70 kW steam turbine arrived and after a great group effort of Power Plant Technology and Machine Tool Technology students, was placed on a concret pad in Turbine Hall. It will be powered by a newly retrofitted Cleaver Brooks 150hp firetube boiler. The turbine was made possible with gifts from the Connelly Foundation, Dominion Foundation, and Alden Trust.
