Four Alumni Loan Carpentry Skills To Williamson
When word spread that 66 windows on the second and third floors of Byers Hall were going to be replaced and help was needed removing the existing windows, four alumni answered the call. Dennis McAlinney 8W8, Fran Shoup 9W3, Joe Walsh 9W5, and Zach Matteo 1W4 spent an entire recent Saturday helping Ken Nelson, carpentry instructor, Russ Smith, carpentry shop assistant, and Jack Bierling, facilities manager, remove the windows. The new Viwinco vinyl replacement windows were purchased with a grant from the Crystal Trust. Carpentry seniors and juniors, working in pairs, put the new windows in.
