
Excellent Results at SkillsUSA State Competitions
Williamson has maintained its reputation as a school that produces outstanding tradesmen as it took three gold and two silver medals at the SkillsUSA State competitions in Hershey it was just announced.
Gold medal winners were:
- Carpentry – Bill Davis, construction technology-carpentry senior
- CNC Technician – Joe Goodwin, machine tool technology senior
- Masonry – Cody Palmer, construction technology-masonry junior
Silver medal winners were:
- Automated Manufacturing – Dave Bender, Mitchel Carl, and Dan Deaver, all machine tool technology seniors
- Industrial Motor Control – Kevin Costigan, power plant technology junior
All gold medal winners will represent Williamson at the national competitions June 22-26 in Louisville, Ky.
The following instructors were with the students at Hershey: Dan Hiltebeitel, director of construction technology-masonry and SkillsUSA advisor; Ken Nelson, director of construction technology-masonry; and Jim Schell, power plant technology instructor.
