
Toll Brothers CEO To Speak At 122nd Commencement
Douglas C. Yearley Jr., chief executive officer and director of Toll Brothers, the country’s largest builder of luxury homes, will deliver the address at Williamson’s 122nd Commencement at 2 p.m., Friday, May 29, on the school’s grounds. At the ceremony, our graduating seniors will receive associate in specialized technology degrees or craftsman diplomas, and be sent into the world as “Williamson Men.”
In his 23 years at Toll Brothers Yearley has served as executive vice president, vice president, and senior vice president. While regional president, he managed home building operations in nine markets throughout the country, oversaw the creation of the Toll Brothers City Living brand, and managed the company’s Marketing Department.
Earlier, he specialized in land acquisitions and project management, learning the home building business from the ground up, and then helped oversee the substantial growth of the company through new market expansion and builder acquisitions.
When he was named CEO he also became a member of the board of directors.
Yearley began his career as an attorney at Archer & Greiner, a major New Jersey law firm where he specialized in commercial litigation.
He received a B.S. in applied economics and business management at Cornell University, and a J.D. at Rutgers School of Law.
He is co-chair of the Pennsylvania Chapter of American Cancer Society’s CEO’s Against Cancer and is actively involved in the Yearley Family Foundation, which supports many charities assisting underprivileged children through education.
Toll Brothers is a home building company based in Horsham, Pa., that is currently building homes in 19 states across the country. The company builds customized single-family homes, carriage homes, town homes, active adult communities, golf course communities, and midrise and high-rise projects.
Toll Brothers was named Builder of the Year in 2012 and 1988 by Professional Builder magazine, the first building company to receive the honor twice, and was named 2014 Builder of the Year by BUILDER magazine, in recognition of Toll Brothers’ achievements, corporate leadership, and excellence in successful business strategy.
