Ladies Auxiliary Bring Christmas to Williamson!
Christmas came early this year at Williamson College of the Trades when the Ladies Auxiliary donated $9,000 during their very popular Christmas Bazaar Nov. 14 in the dining room. The gift will go for dorm room improvements.
Auxiliary president Jacqui Stradley presented a large facsimile of the check to President Michael Rounds and Wayne Watson 4W8, chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Other highlights included Jay Merillat, dean of enrollments, amusing the crowd with jokes and serving as master of ceremonies, and the Artisans entertaining the crowd with several songs under the direction of new director Sherre Gaertner. They sang so well that they received a standing ovation. An excellent Christmas meal prepared by Tim Burbage, director of food services, and his staff, was enjoyed by all.
The event also included a craft sale, raffling of a Christmas tree with $600 worth of gift cards, and door prizes.
