Williamson takes a unique approach to occupational education. Over the course of three years, students receive a broad education that includes study of trade and technical theory in the classroom and realistic work projects.
Each year approximately 130 students are offered admission to Williamson College of the Trades. Admission is open to all qualifying young men, but special consideration is given to those who come from families of financial need and would otherwise not be able to further their education.

In his Foundation Deed, Isaiah Williamson charged the college to undertake “the moral and religious training of the scholars.”
For over 130 years, Williamson College of the Trades has produced graduates who have served their communities as respected leaders and productive members of society. Today, our alumni community continues to exemplify the core values of the college: Faith, Integrity, Diligence, Excellence, and Service.
Williamson’s mission has been thriving for more than 135 years on the philanthropic premise with the college’s endowment supporting 75% of daily operations. The remainder is raised through generous donations from alumni, past parents, friends, corporations and foundations.
