Watson Speaks at Founder’s Day Service on February 7

All are invited to hear Williamson Trustee David Watson deliver the keynote address at Founder’s Day 2019 as we honor Isaiah V. Williamson at 6 PM, Thursday, February 7, in the Clara Schrenk Memorial Chapel.

David Watson has been familiar with the school his entire life. His grandfather, Conrad Watson, is a graduate of 1924. His uncle Gerald Watson, is a graduate of 1955. And his father, Wayne Watson, is a graduate of 1948 and served as chairman of the board for many years.

As a trustee, Mr. Watson is sharing his knowledge of engineering, project management, and executive leadership with Williamson.

He has worked over 30 years at Campbell Soup Co. and Pepperidge Farm. Currently, he is vice president of Engineering, Global Biscuits and Snacks, Filling and Packaging. Among his many responsibilities is leading all engineering activities for Campbell International and Pepperidge Farm in Europe, Latin America, Australia, Indonesia, China, and Malaysia.

Earlier, he worked at Pepperidge Farm as a project manager for the design and construction of three state-of-the-art food plants and worked his way up to vice president of engineering.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Drexel University and his MBA from Saint Joseph’s University.

Other talks include an Alumni Tribute by Daniel Flood 8W1, Alumni Association president, and a Student Tribute by Peter Gaglio, senior class president.

Awards given include: the Sons of the American Revolution’s Outstanding Citizenship Award to Joseph Galbraith 2W0, and the Board of Trustees’ Isaiah V. Williamson Award to Trustee John Lawton and The Clarence W. Schrenk 4W9 Young Alumnus Award to James Simpson 1W2.
