Alumni Gather at Phillies Florida Spring Training Game
President Mike Rounds and members of Williamson’s Advancement staff headed to sunny Florida in early March to spend an afternoon with Williamson alumni and friends at the Philadelphia Phillies spring training game in Clearwater.
The event was co-hosted by Trustee Christopher J. Moyer, Sr. 0W0, founder, president and CEO of SME Solutions Group, Inc., which is based in Tampa, FL.
Alumni and their guests gathered in the private Palm Pavilion Patio and Picnic Pavilion at Spectrum Field, where they enjoyed a pre-game picnic buffet and then watched the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Baltimore Orioles.
While the Phillies did not manage to come out with a win, the Williamson alumni certainly did as they learned of the latest College news from President Rounds, caught-up with old friends and made some new alumni connections.
President Rounds was joined at the event by Vice President for Institutional Advancement Arlene Snyder, Director of Major and Planned Gifts Mike Treston, and Director of Alumni Relations Laura Brown.
Alumni in attendance included: Bill Brown 6W2, Chuck Brown 6W9, Paul Brunhammer 7W6, Dave Churchman 7W2, Bruce Everett 6W9, Del Keiter 6W8, Deron Keiter 8W6, Jack Miles 6W7, Ed Miller 5W7, Jim O’Neill 7W0, Lou Pitonyak 6W1, Vince Pitonyak 6W7, Francis Sellitto 0W7, and John Young 7W2.
The Phillies event was part of a 3-day visit to the Tampa, Florida area during which Williamson staff members met with Florida-based alumni, friends, and partners of the College who do not have the opportunity to come to campus often. All enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with each other and the College community.
