With 67 guests that included alumni from 21 classes, the Shady Maple Alumni Luncheon in East Earl, PA, on Tuesday, Oct. 10 continues to be a popular fall event for Williamson alumni.
The luncheon was coordinated by Ron Richardson 5W4 and Dick Dunlap 6W5, and included a buffet lunch much socializing, and prizes for the alumni who traveled the farthest to attend the event and the oldest alumnus in attendance.
President Michael Rounds gave a state of the school talk on a variety of school topics, including admissions, enrollment, trade programs, and the status of the Howley Dorm which is now under construction.
Chris Moran 9W9, president of the Williamson Association of Alumni, spoke on the many successes of the new alumni organization in its first year of existence, plans for the future, and encouraged all alumni to get involved.
When the microphone was opened to anyone who wanted to tell a Williamson story, Louis Pitonyak 6W1 and Gary Brooks 7W4 shared some memories.

The 2024 Annual Alumni Spring Luncheon hosted by the 5W4 and Friends Committee will coincide with the new and improved Alumni Day! Alumni Day will take place Friday and Saturday, April 26-27.
In addition to the luncheon, alumni will also enjoy many of the traditional Alumni Day activities such as the alumni memorial chapel service, president’s state of the college address, WAA general meeting, visits to the college store, and tours of the new buildings on campus. In addition, alumni will have the opportunity to visit the shops while students are actively working on projects and instructors are on hand to talk about what is currently happening in their programs.
Friday evening, alumni celebrating a special reunion, are invited to the Springfield Country Club for the Milestone Reunion Celebration. The next day, alumni are invited back to the country club for a breakfast and alumni awards presentation. More information on the weekend of events will be made available in January.
