Fourteen members of the Class of 2W5 were inducted into the prestigious I.V. Club for demonstrating leadership and embodying Williamson’s core values at the 29th Annual Induction Ceremony in the Clara Schrenk Memorial Chapel on May 1. Many I.V. Club members were on hand to watch the ceremony as well as many family members.
The inductees are: Ivan Bienkowski, Power Plant Technology; Michaeljames Branca, Machine Tool Technology; Nicholas Burdumy, Power Plant Technology; Joseph Glenn, Power Plant Technology; Jack Gommer, Landscape Construction and Management; Levi Hoffman, Machine Tool Technology; Jonathan Illing, Landscape Construction and Management; Joshua Illing, Construction Technology – Masonry, Tyler Madison, Machine Tool Technology; Michael Miles, Construction Technology – Electrical; Harrison Pritt, Landscape Construction and Management; Francisco Torres-Vega, Power Plant Technology; Victor Valentine, Construction Technology – Carpentry; and Gabriel Walsh, Power Plant Technology.
Rev. Dr. Mark Specht 7W7, chaplain, opened the evening with an invocation, Dr. Michelle Williams, vice president of education/CAO, welcomed the audience.
Club member Deonte Jones 2W3, read “The Man in the Glass,” a poem about personal integrity; Michael McClellan 0W7 spoke on “The Past,” Nicholas LaFazia 2W3 spoke on “The Present”; and President Michael Rounds spoke on “The Charge for the Future.”
Kevin Hatch 0W8, board vice chairman, lead the induction as each inductee had a club pin fastened to his jacket by a club member.
The ceremony closed with the singing of the alma mater led by the Artisans and then Specht gave the benediction.
