Q&A with Caden Angstadt, Class of 2W7, Carpentry Shop, highlighting his summer internship at ValorBuilt!
Q: What’s been your favorite part of your internship experience?
A: “My favorite part of my internship is the ability to not only express my skills in the trade but also to learn something new every day. Each day with ValorBuilt is valuable to me because I not only feel appreciated and a part of the ValorBuilt family, but I have the honor of learning new skills within the trade.”
Q: How did your classroom learning translate into real-world work?
A: “The aspect of classroom learning has helped me exponentially as it translated into real-world use very quickly and easily. I appreciate being able to apply knowledge I wouldn’t have known a year ago.”
Q: How did your internship help you grow professionally or personally?
A: “My internship has helped me a lot. Professionally, I’ve been able to apply new skills and figure out solutions to problems that aren’t written down on a piece of paper.”
Q: What’s one new thing you’ve learned from your internship?
A: “Something I learned from my internship is that you can never stop learning, so go into the workspace with an open mindset.”
