Anthony J. Sindoni 8W7, President and Founder of Sindoni Consulting & Management Services, Inc. (SCMS) has joined Williamson’s board of trustees, announced Board Chairman Tom Goeke 8W0.
“Anthony’s journey from Williamson student to successful entrepreneur is an inspiring example of the impact a Williamson education can have,” said Goeke. “His business leadership, technical expertise, and longstanding commitment to the College make him an outstanding addition to our board of trustees. As both an alumnus and dedicated volunteer, he brings a valuable perspective that will help guide Williamson into the future.”
A graduate of Williamson’s Power Plant Technology Program, Sindoni has built a distinguished career spanning more than three decades in the engineering, commissioning, and healthcare construction industries. His professional experience and entrepreneurial leadership bring valuable technical expertise and strategic insight to Williamson’s board. In addition, Sindoni has been an active member of Williamson’s Power Plant Program Advisory Committee for many years, helping strengthen the program that launched his own career.
“I’m grateful and honored to serve on Williamson’s board of trustees,” said Sindoni. “I certainly didn’t understand or appreciate it at the time, but Williamson gave me the technical foundation, work ethic, and values that have guided me throughout my career. It has been a privilege to stay connected through the Power Plant Program Advisory Committee, and I look forward to helping ensure future generations of Williamson students have the same life-changing opportunities that I received.”
After graduating from Williamson, Sindoni began his career in the nuclear power industry at Peach Bottom Nuclear Power Station. In 1991, he relocated to California, where he continued working as a contract engineer at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant and San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
Seeking to expand his expertise, Sindoni studied Healthcare Administration and Construction Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also earned several professional certifications, including Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation and Commissioning Authority certification through the Associated Commissioning Group (ACG).
In 2000, Sindoni co-founded a healthcare construction company focused on commissioning services. The firm applied the rigorous testing and verification principles used in the nuclear power industry, which was not commonly used in commercial construction at the time.
Seven years later, he founded SCMS, which has grown into a 45-person consulting firm serving many of the largest healthcare systems and research institutions in the western United States. The company has provided commissioning, design, and project management services for projects with organizations including Kaiser Permanente, Dignity Health, Stanford Health Care, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Stanford, Sutter Health, and multiple University of California campuses. With offices throughout California, the company is recognized as an industry leader in commissioning and energy technical services and has been ranked among the nation’s US Commissioning Giants Top 25 since 2018.
Sindoni and his wife, Julie, live in Devon, Pennsylvania, and have three sons. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, tennis, skiing, and watching his sons compete in sports.
